Joe CEO of US Mattress

Dear Listeners,

During my internship we go to meet Cash and Joe the two best buddies in college. Joe went on to be CEO of a mattress company. So lets talk about Joe when he grew tired of doing the same thing he went home to complete a 70+ work week. Yes 70+ hours his mattress store is mostly based online but its based in Brighton. He does have a small furniture store in North Carolina which is doing pretty well. Before he knew he wanted to be a CEO he committed 16-17 years at GM it took him that long to realize his worth but luckily he did. How he got started you ask? He found a web store software service. And he invested 1,000 of his check for a few months and contact dealers from various areas of Michigan to start a partnership. One person out of like 100 people decided to do it. They spilt the profit 50/50 Joe did a lot of work but his partner did the investing in the relationship. Revenue started at a couple thousand a month and used that profit to grow his company larger. He did run into a little bump in the road and ran out of cash. Then he had to rebuild his company from the bottom again. But this time Joe was a little more reluctant to put his money into it again because he was afraid to fail. Joe ended up putting money into it this time and ended up transforming this company to a worth of 50 million dollars. 1000 to 50 million dollars crazy right ? This amount of revenue kicked in, in about a year or two. It was great that Joe came into at a time where people weren't ok with putting products online. He did it in the try it out mode but customers did know they could get products cheaper online and retailers were getting pissed and putting more pressure on the manufacturer. Joe now in 2017 is till going to open stores as well as sale online. No one knows how this is going to end more stores are now closing more than ever. And now switching from in store to online. Joe was asked how do know if something is working. He responded with "you can't be married to a project that has no hope". "you can diversify". or "stick to what your good at and do even better". Furniture was not a good idea but mattress was. He was then asked what was your realziation looking at your day to fay with problems and frustration, and then looking at overall revenue and then saying wow we should stick with this. Joe definitely made me want to quit my job and just start my own business but I need a few more tips and something worth investing my money into.

Until next time signed,

Dasha Jones
